Hong Kong Govt is not smart with trying to remove outdoor seating. This adds to the charm of the city. They need to support establishments like teakha more. It is an oasis in a very stressful city.

Most HK public spaces look like garbage dumps - the government should be rewarding people creating fresh, open spaces.

The Hong Kong Government needs to realise public spaces are meant to be occupied by the public and those who dwell in the area. These are the type of spaces which should be promoted around the fringes of the CBD to encourage interactions between neighbours and strangers, thus create a much stronger bond between the local/expat communities!

HK is already a fabulously cosmopolitan city. How wonderful would it be with alfresco options like some of the great cities of the world. Get with the program HK

I hope we can change the FEHD antiquated attitude and make this city more livable using outdoor space

Using outdoor space for leisure and relaxing activities should not be illegitimated, especially they are using the alley which is adjacent to their cafe where nobody would seem to drop by frequently (except FEHD officers i guess)

Once again the FEHD has got it all wrong. They have no vision. I'm really not sure why a rigid country like Singapore can manage to use it's outdoor space effectively, while a dynamic city like HK trails behind. But having said that, HK can't seem to take care of it's trees, so why am I surprised?
