Support Teakha to create a better place for all of us

We need space to breath and smell the tea leaves! Give us our space back!

I have no gripe with public space being used, and outdoor space being used correctly.
In this particular case, as a local resident, I have to complain about this as Teakha have gradually become more and more greedy and are now blocking the entire alleyway with their outdoor 'seating'.
As a local resident who has lived in the area far longer than the 3 years Teakha have been there, I use the alleyway regularly when leaving my flat or walking my dog, and when Teakha set out their seating and tables on the green matt, it blocks the entire alleyway and I need to step over or make a detour round the entire block.
Also, the increased use of space by blocking the entire alleyway causes more noise for the residents, especially when they have their live music performances. The only people profiting from this is Teakha and the customers, not the residents (many who have lived their entire lives here, and many are too old to complain as I can attest to when speaking to my neighbours).
Teakha used to be far more respectful, only setting up seating and tables along the sides of the alleyway, allowing plenty of space for a thoroughfare.
If Teakha reverts back to their old arrangement before they got greedy, then I have no problem including my signature to this petition.
If they continue to block the entire alleyway and cause obstruction and noise for the local residents, then I will unfortunately be siding with the FEHD in this

Additionally to my comment below, I find it quite hypocritical and oddly amusing that you vilify the complainant:

Yet you setup a petition asking for 100,000 signatures from people, many of which will not even live in the area either! Last I checked, there were not 100,000 people (let alone 1,000!) who live on Tai Ping Shan Street, yet you are happy to get people who do not live in the area to fight for your right to use the public space here.
This leads me to believe that you are in fact doing this for your own profit and gain, as opposed to the good of the neighbourhood and the local residents.

Do you live in the area? Is it truly your space to take back? How about the local residents' right to have space to breathe as well? With the alley blocked and filled regular with Teakha's customers (sometimes 30+ people), there is no space to breathe for those not taking part and using the alleyway for other purposes.
Perhaps a proper consultation should be conducted first with the local residents to find out how they feel before a petition is made against the government.
