What is going on with Hellam Township lately? Someone needing to throw around their weight? As if this year hasn't hurt our economy enough, now these unqualified officials have to cause issues for their taxpayers citizens. Shameful.

How can you shut down a business that has operated for years because of one new person. The new tenant was aware of the business but chose to rent there anyway. The new tenant should deal with it

I have been at Barkby Plungers many time . We come 2 times a week every week for the season . It’s always very quiet there except for the neighbors dog that constantly barks at us and is chained to a tree and the crying cow . She has been there for many years before even some of the neighbors that are complaining. I hope that she can remain open .

Love Barkbys. Please keep it open for my dogs sake! There aren’t too many fun things to do with dogs since Covid but swimming at Barkbys is one fun thing we can still enjoy!

I live in springettesbury. This place is a game changer. It gives dogs and energy outlet and above all give humans a network of friends bound by our love of dogs.
If you move to the country, know what's around you. It isn't silent. If you want silence you need to go elsewhere.

I have helped Dori with these events for over 6 years now. These events are where memories are made with our 4legged companions. There are no other places where are pets can run free and swim and dock dive in our area. I have met so many wonderful people here. Honestly we are all like family who enjoy the days in the sun while our dogs play and run. Please don't take our sunshine away!

Dori Barkby has worked her butt off at a full time job, and running Barkbys Plungers for over 10+ years. A lot of sweat, love of dogs, and vision have gone into this well thought of business. She has perfected, and improved her dock diving for man's best friend over these years. Her life partner Jack, and herself put everything into achieveing this. Unfortunately, Jack passed recently from cancer. This is the last thing Dori needs right now! I'm not sure why this is a problem after all this time.

Dori provides a wonderful business that is a safe outlet for dogs to exercise and train at. She has been established and running for years now.
The loudest noises I hear when there are the cows and donkeys owned by a farmer in the area, because her business is located in the country and not in a development or in town. You are going to hear noises and not complete silence.
Dori's hours are during the day and not past dusk. So the dogs from people using her facility are not disturbing sleep. She has mature trees lined around the property that likely help muffle the sounds too.
This complaint is obnoxious and should have been dismissed without having to hold a meeting. It's a renter at that and likely someone who won't be staying in the area permanently.

Please allow this friendly and supportive facility to continue. It has allowed my dog to swim, play, and thrive. Dori is an amazing person and has done so much for so many of us. This must be kept operating.

I am applaud by this !! This is a great place and for years !! For a renter to complain...it is not like this is happening at 11pm!! This is someones life....in these times to take this away is heartless !! Sorry....NOT SORRY!!!

Dory is as wonderful as her business. As a Dock Dogs competitor it is nice to have somewhere close to bring my pup to practice.
