My family has finally acknowledged who I am and agreed to support my transition. Seeing 280 people stand by me gives me a sense of peace I have not felt in a long time. I am moving forward now with the confidence that I am truly seen.

Hi. So I'm Jason Roake. Some of you may know me, some of you don't. I'm a sophomore in high school.
I have a problem. I was born as Juliette Roake. That's the name on my birth certificate, my passport, and pretty much everything else.
But I am Jason.
Currently, I need as much help as I can get. Some members of my family are not convinced I am a guy. They simply just don't believe it. (No naming names, but… it's pretty hard for me at home.)
Because I'm still seen as a girl, I have issues with depression. I also suffer from gender dysphoria. I can't stand being female, and I can't stand being seen as female. I'm always avoiding mirrors because I don't want to see my female body. Basically, being a girl is terrible, for me at least.
I want to start hormone replacement therapy (HRT). This will make it much easier for me to pass as male; my voice will drop, I'll lose the feminine curve of my hips, I'll gain muscle easier, and much more.
To start HRT, I need to convince my family.
So please, please sign this if you support me. You don't have to know me. If you want to help a transgender teen, then sign this. And spread it around as much as possible through social media, or whatever you can. I need the community's support, and I know everyone can make it happen.

Fight on, Jason. You know who you are better than anyone else, doesn't matter if other people can't or won't see it. All my support, buddy.
I don't know if a petition will help your family see, due to the nature of ignorance and such. You should try to do some fundraising for the therapy and start looking for places to stay, as living in a toxic household can lead to even more problems. Just some food for thought. Hope all goes well!

as a trans guy myself I couldn't help but sign this, being I know how it feels to feel trapped in the gender you wished you weren't biologically assigned to. I only wish I could donate but I have no money! ;w; I could spread it around tho to help with more signatures and donations! Good luck, my guy! I hope your future will be bright!
