The neighborhood of Nonantum houses the largest amount of manufacturing and industrial facilities in the City of Newton. This area disproportionately faces the brunt of development. It is not reasonable to expect that all new manufacturing projects must occur in this one neighborhood, where many children, families and seniors reside.

This proposed Marijuana facility would be situated on a residential block and is likely to cause undue traffic. It would create a challenge for parking for employees, as they would likely need to impede on the residential streets nearby to accommodate for such commercial operations.

There should be more equity in the distribution of manufacturing facilities throughout the many other neighborhoods of the City of Newton.

Please stand with the neighborhood of Nonantum in opposing this new development at 69 Adams Street.
