Many major companies use unsustainable palm oil that is in almost every product on store shelves. It is everything from chocolate chip cookies to hair products. Unsustainable palm oil is a key factor in deforestation. Sumatran tigers, orangutans, and many more rainforest animals are affected by the use of unsustainable palm oil. For example, in Tesso Nile National Park, Sumatra, they have lost about three million acres including three quarters of the Sumatran tigers’ habitat, leaving only 400 Sumatran tigers in the world. The trees were burned to make room for palm oil plantations. To help stop deforestation, palm oil companies need to start using sustainable palm oil. We are not asking you to stop using palm oil! companies need to stop using unsustainable palm oil and look to help put this situation right afterall is said and done they have earned enough money out of this destruction to put some back to rectify it .
This greed for palm oil is killing so many animals. Find an alternative. Stop destroying habitats and animals.
OK, I'm now going to try to figure out which products use sustainable, and only buy those!
Please save the tigers. Do not buy these products! Find sustainable options! Hire local to protect the tigers and property
I am avoiding Palm Oil all together and talking to all my family, friends and daily acquantances to get this issue out and into the publics conscious . Since there isno true way to track and ensure that the products I, we, buy do not include non sustainable palm oil, we are avoiding them all together. To think girl scouts are helping to destroy the rain forest one box of cookies at a time is repulsive! I want a fail safe when I buy a product that without margin of error, the palm oil is coming from a sustainable source that works on preserving what is left of the natural rain forests and habitats of so many species of plants and animals, known and unknown.

As conusmers we have the power to make real changes - governments and corporations cannot be allowed to destroy our planet for profit!
