Tom’s stall is an asset to the local community and an example of entrepreneurship triumphing though adversity. Something to be encouraged and protected.

Tom's Flowers are an essential centre point of Wimbledon Village. We maintain our status as a desirable destination because we have the continuity of such charming, professional and beautiful offerings in the centre of our community. Please work to support our highly regarded independent traders who are so well respected. There is clearly extraordinary support for them in the community, which we hope will be heard.

Yet again, a lovely local business, run by delightful people, selling beautiful produce, is under threat because somebody seems intent on sucking the life out of the village.

A friendly asset to the village and the small kiosk causes no harm or inconvenience overnight.

The Stand is a thriving asset in the Village, where businesses are struggling and under constant threat of closure. It brings all the colour and pleasure you would expect from a flower stall. My daughter is a wheelchair user and there are rarely access issues caused by the Stand being there overnight. In fact, she loves visiting the Stand, the team are always very welcoming. To me it is one of the joys of village life that our High Street is bookended by Gardenia and The Stand both of which add character and the undeniable attraction of locally-owned, rather than chain, businesses.

The Flower stall is an integral part of the village vibe adding colour and atmosphere to the village in general and bringing customers and trade to the village it would be a great loss to loose it.
