We want to save good, local, independent businesses even if the council don’t.

We should always try to support local businesses. I’m a local business and it’s great to work with local groups. Such a pretty stall too!

Tom and the team are essential to the village life and I have used the flower stand for over 18 years. We must not let this community team disappear.

Why don’t you focus on getting rid of the eye sore next to the flower stand which has remained unopened for years and adds nothing to the village. Thanks

The Stand is as much part of the village as say The Rose and Crown and St Cassien. It should stay.

Must unite against the local councils wanting to turn every high street into exactly the same place across the UK. F**k of Starbucks!

This would be a very sad loss to Wimbledon Village where too many of our shops struggle and shut.

Utterly ridiculous decision. Considering all the other big issues there is in the Borough, Merton Council focuses on trying to destroy an established and valued business. Couldn’t make it up. Good luck to The Stand.

Save the flower stand. It’s perfect where it is and such an important part of that section of the village.

Tom, Emma & family have been such a big part of the Wimbledon scenery that not allowing them to retain their stand would be an unacceptable break with history.
