Why cut down an iconic historic natural landmark to increase visibility for restrooms, when you could easily compromise and allocate the tree cutting budget to a bathroom sign budget. I reckon it's a lot cheaper, as well.

Leave the tree alone, it has sentimental value to a lot of people and nobody wants to see the toilets.
