I grew up with not just the rook but Jackdaw, Magpie and Jays in an agricultural community. The rooks were considered a part of the countryside with a role to play. I believe the policy of NZ to exterminate them is wrong because the land they prefer is open agricultural pasture where they for the most part do a great job eating Porana moths and grass grubs. They are intelligent and don't need to be told twice to leave a crop alone!

Stop the poisoning of NZ . You have some of the people fooled but not all and you will be called to account for crimes against humanity.
Posion and pesticides have no place here
Will the persecution of our wildlife ever cease ?
Ban 1080, these birds have a right to life as much as any other.
#ban1080
And save magpies
1080, brodiforcaum/superwarfarin, Feretox/cyanide, glyphosate
Rooks deserve to live
