This is an outrage. The individual who lodged this complaint has no understanding of the Treme, and no place in the community. Defend these institutions at all costs.

Nothing makes my grandfather happier than knowing the doors are open to the Lil People's Place he owned and operated under the name Junior's Place for over 35 years before retirement.

Please protect the long standing local businesses that make New Orleans New Orleans.

New Orleans is in the midst of a culture war and money is the driving force for disenfranchising cultural heritage. Please take a stand against "noise complaints," unlicensed alcohol sales, and all other trivial concerns to newcomers that are the things which have defined the Crescent City forever. If you don't like freedom, try living anywhere else. New Orleans needs better jobs, better available education for the poor (i.e. most of the city), and an industry that isn't reliant on appeasing tourists. Can we just agree to stop focusing on regulating fun and making room for condos and take steps to make New Orleans a place that takes care of its residents? I bet of it weren't for unlicensed alcohol sales you wouldn't have half that music that justifies Jazzfest.

Did they not have a license before?

They're never even open and when they are, it's usually some old timers bday and everyone Byob's. Whoever is trying to close this down is greedy.

New Orleans is defined by all the little joints like this. Support quirky; support weird; support all the little joints that keep NOLA from becoming just one more gentrified city.

At the very least, this bar should be able to obtain a liquor license! Let me know how I can help.

I love this bar. Mr Rodney is a true gem and that fish fry is the best in town.
