It's sad that a town like Columbus, which is known for being such a tireless advocate of architectural innovation and preservation, can't summon the wherewithal to save one of its most precious downtown jewels.

I surely hope this is wrong. We are too quick to sell our history for "progress". While not everything can be maintained, this building should be. With proper management and revitalization. This building could easily serve professional, artistic and community activities in a multi-faceted capacity.

Columbus, Indiana already has a lack of music spaces and places that cater to artists that want to share their talents, so lets save the building that has been an outlet for artists for hundreds of years.

Like many other kids, I've performed and been an audience in this theater. It simply has a history and memories many shares still to this day. I don't want it to be torn down unless there are nuclear fumes coming out or an never ending infestation of cockroaches. Unless that happens, don't tear it down. It is HISTORICAL.

I had always dreamed of playing The Crump, after seeing my older brother play there, and I finally did. I would hate to steal the opportunity from any young musicians who long to have those 45 minutes I had on that historic, nostalgic stage.

It's historical, and Awesome. I'm from Columbus, and this has always been a part of the town. It would be a shame to destroy such a cool piece of history.

There's no reason that the Crump can't be turned into something grand. There is all the potential there for a great venue for music. Let's make it happen!!
