I am currently drafting a formal letter to submit to local historical commissions regarding the preservation of these monuments. We are analyzing the feedback left on this page to build a more effective argument for our upcoming outreach phase.

This flag is a symbol of my southern heritage and this flag shouts out for the blood of 620,000 Confederate Soldiers. My family fought in this war and I will always uphold my Flag.
The South was invaded, burned, its ports blockaded, its people killed and the living treated like 2nd class citizens. We have a history too!
how are we going to teach kids about the civil war without it? plus its my right!!!
The flag is heritage not hate just because some sick individuals hi jack it doesn't mean everyone is like that. You can find hate and racism in anything if that's what your looking for. If all you think is hate all you will see is hate. God bless the south and God bless America .
Saving the Confederate Flag is preserving the memory of our forefathers.. It is not an object to use to appease others because of the lost of their loved ones..
