These cabins are part of the culture and heritage in Salem County! They may even have saved lives. I am an environmentalist and they are hurting NOTHING. The DEP should concentrate on protecting us from pipelines, drilling, and chemical dumping, not these harmless, wonderful cabins! I don't want my tax money to go to this! This is an example of government over-reach that everyone complains about.

Leave the cabins alone they have been there for a long time and hurt no one. They are open for anyone to use. If they bother you stay away from them. Use our state money wisely, my money does not come easy!!!

These cabins provide needed shelter to those sailors and other water going travelers, when the weather tirns ugly. They have a deep and rich history of the local area, and should not be torn down.

These cabins were used by the marine police and coast guard after 9/11 for field offices. I have personally helped stranded boaters who have sought refuge at the cabins because of mechanical failures. We live on the head waters of Alloway creek and count on the cabins as resting spots.
