Let's save another recreation facility where the WHOLE family can participate at the same time. There are fewer and fewer places for our kids to do things out doors, so let's save a couple.

I grew up racing at simi, as did my two younger sisters. It's sad to see such a positive environment for youth sports in danger of being shut down. We need more facilities like this, not less!

Our city needs this facility for our youth. Both of my boys were part of Sycamore BMX for many years and loved it! We need more things in Simi for our youth, not only to encourage outdoor sports, but to keep our kids out of trouble. We should be helping Sycamore BMX to expand their facility, not shut them down!

Sycamore Bmx has been around for over 40yrs. I remember coming down from Nor cal back in the late 70's and racing with some of the fastest kids in so cal at this track. Sycamore Bmx is one of the oldest tracks in our sport still racing. So many kids have started their racing careers at this track as beginners. Many of them had the opportunity to become US champions & World Champions because of this track. Just recently in the past couple years Simi Valley has had two kids that have become USABMX national champion #1 amateur Kevin P.& #1 amateur cruiser Maddie D . It's a sport that opens up the door to world for our kids.

Shutting down the track with no plans to rebuild elsewhere will have a detrimental affect on so many kids and youth that not only enjoy, but thrive at this sport. Providing opportunities and places for our kids to spend their free time in a healthy environment benefits the entire society. Save the track!

Save Sycamore bmx! The Nigro family is amazing and have done so much for the kids and community of Simi, Moorpark & Thousand Oaks giving kids an active fun competitive fun sport keeping teens focused on being active and doing well in school. Losing this track would be a huge loss to the city and County of Ventura. This track produces State, National, World champions in the sport of BMX!

There is very little on our community that suits family supported activities like Sycamore BMX. Not every kid is little league or football oriented. This is good for entire families to stay connected.
Please, DO NOT take this awesome resource from our kids.
