To develop the harbour at the expense of the existing fleet should not be allowed. Dunbar is a fishing town and should be kept as such.

Dunbar is a fishing town, lets keep it that way , we are proud wee band of of happy folk, lets keep what is rightly our inheritance, my forefathers fished here when fishing was for men,a way of life for familys, boats were worked on ,now folk just want a few to be able to play.,surely in this day and age we can live side by side, let the men who who know the harbour run the harbour..

Dunbar has had a fishing fleet all my life and I think that to price it out in order to develop the harbour is a disgrace. Presumably they expect the move to bring in more tourists but from my point of view the opposite would be true. I and most other people who visit harbours do so to soak up the atmosphere of a working fleet. St Abbs used to be my favourite place on the coast but, since the fleet (if it can still be called that) diminished to be replaced by nothing but diving, it is no longer a place I visit. It would be sad if the same was to happen in Dunbar. Fishing and tourism can live happily side by side, without the need for the greed of the harbour trust and their developers.

just a quick minuite of your time to say that alot of my family rely on the fishing trade in dunbar. creating any differences in which the people of dunbar know could be devastating to local economy

It's a disgrace seeing what is happening to Dunbar Harbour, fishermen have a hard time making a living as it is without pricing them out of business.
