I believe that the market is very important and the work that auntie Jean is doing is very educational in the development in the afro Caribbean culture,in the togetherness in the older generation and particularly very important in the development of the younger generation.

It is important that we continue to have this market so that members of the community are aware of what's going on in society and how it impacts on our lives and future generations. It is imperative that we have the opportunity to share our history and cluture with those who are interested and learn from each other how to address issues in a positive way. I feel that the way Southwark council has dealt with the African Market and it's new contract has been unprofessional and disgraceful and l am appalled tbat this kind of behaviour is going on and seems to be acceptable. You seriously need to look at the individual members of the committee as some do not appear to understand their role.

This is a great avenue when cultural cohesion occurs as well as the forum where persons are provided with the relevant goods and services they need in this community. To up root ACM would displacing an entire community. PLEASE ALLOW ACM TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE PEOPLE WITH THE RELEVANT GOODS AND SERVICES TO THIS COMMUNITY.

This market provides community cohesion and valuable resource to source essential products. This has been a much needed within the community it's time served in the community reflects this.

We need to own and control our own space

Anytime we do something positive to elevate ourselves, they want to shut it down. We must not allow this to happen.

This is a much needed market. I have personally used the venue to listen to guess speakers from all over the uk and abroad. It is a welcoming organisation that is culturally diverse covering a range of topics and agendas. We know that It is a much neededand to help influence change in the local community and change black lives matter. I have personally shopped in the market locally buying fresh produce from local organic farmers to vegan food.. It helps everybody especially local businesses that is unable to provide high cost rent, overpriced premises on local High Street.. Everbody benefits including local businesses in the area. Peckham needs this !!! One would think this is the type of urban living environment that one would want to see that's entrepreneurships grow in the local community. The African cultural market is & should continue to prosper.. I would not like to see the market disappear or moved, leaving a void for both adults & children. I say hands off.......our cultural market and leave our organisation to flourish becuse nobody else CARES about doing sonthing positive for the black community.

We need to keep our African culture and pass it down to our children so we black people need this market
