I’ve been vacationing at Siesta Key for 30 years. We haven’t come for the past couple of years due to all the red tide. Have a vacation scheduled for May 2020 and keeping our fingers crossed. Would feel much better if Floridians would elect officials who understand that tourism is THE major industry in Florida and the beaches need protected.

Our ecology cannot sustain thoughtless and damaging decisions; please exercise wise leadership. Our ecology needs wisdom to manage it, not dollars!!

Please do not allow these violations of the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County zoning ordinances and comptrhensive plans. There is a better plan than exposing the islands to 70 percent higher wave and destroying 2 acres of Sea Grass.

It’s a terrible idea to dredge Big Pass. This will ruin Siesta Key!!

Siesta Key is doomed as a toxic wasteland unless we stop the devastation. No more Conde Nast's "Best Beach" if it stays the way it is. It's nasty & everyone will know it.

Let’s put it in terms that politicians will understand...if you kill off all the natural beauty that Florida has, you will, in effect, kill off tourism. Save the thing that make your state so special...its environment.
