Butch was only doing what any of us would have to do. Remember the actions taken by the survivors of the Andes plane crash in 1972.

Butch behaved in exactly the way a dog would having been left on its own with any dead body. It was unfortunate to be his owner but Butch would not have known. Any dog having been left in that situation would have beh aged by nipping a stranger. Butch should not be punished for finding himself in a situation he had no control over.

Butch was just trying to survive give him a chance. If someone pinned me down when i was already afraid i would bite them as well the police treated Butch unfairly and very badly LET HIM LIVE.

Butch is a lovely well behaved wee dog. Please carry out Butch's owners last wishes, let gorgeous wee Butch live out the rest of his life in a loving home like the one he had.

The owner's wishes should be respected. If an animal has no food for several days it is no surprise that it (the animal) would eat anything to survive - even humans have been known to eat dead humans in severe survival situations - the staff club should be given the opportunity to do their independent assessment of Butch, then let them decide what's best for the poor animal!

Please God don't let this beautiful dog be punished for doing what any dog would do. His owner would be so horrified.

I think the respected animal behaviourist, Victoria Stilwell, would know better than the Police. So let the dog live.

If the dog was starving it's obvious it would eat the owner for it's own survival, remember the story about the passengers from the crashed plane in the Andes mountains, they eat the dead passengers but never were prosecuted.

When a plane crashed years ago killing many but also with survivors, they ended up having to eat their fellow passengers. We wouldn't have put them on death row would we?
