I loved this place as a kid! Best experience of my life! I learned a lot about nature and river tides. The people there at that time were friendly and fun!

Native Americans of the Lenape Tribe were the first inhabitants of Burlington Island. They fished the Delaware's pristine waters and cared for the land. We must protect this wonderful piece of history and never again allow dredge spoils to taint and contaminate its natural beauty.

I've been learning so much about Burlington Island little by little. This island needs to be saved and needs to be protected. I also believe there should be events that proceeds to the Burlington Island. No eminent domain should take this away for any other benefits besides for the People of Burlington County to enjoy the precious island. Please protect this Island.

Unless we learn the lessons of the Past, We are condemned to repeat them in the Future. The future of this Historical Island must be determined by The People, not the polititions. Years of self healing combined with many thousands of hours of sweat equity by this .org has made this Island a real treasure to preserve and respect. Your voice and vote must be heard. Stand up for your Island Paradise and SCREAM NO TO DREDGE SPOILS.

Saving Burlington Island from dredge spoils and/or commercial exploitation would be a blatant rejection of its importance to Delaware Valley history preservation as well as environmental awareness of the ecology of one of America’s great rivers.

I respectfully ask that you stop the Army Corps of Enginners from dumping dredging debris on Burlington Island. A dredging project in the early 1960's led to the pumping of dredge debris onto Burlington Island. I was heartbreaking to see the devastating impact on the is island. Thank you.
