As being one of my best friend's older sister, I have known Renee for some time now and through everything I have witnessed, she is the best person I have ever seen her be. She has transitioned into such an amazing woman through the years. I firmly believe she should be able to visit the states and see her family.

I feel it is a very inspiring story of what all she overcame because any addict knows it will be one of the hardest things you ever do. Allowing her to come back could even inspire others as she was always a very well know girl. She has been punished enough by leaving everything she ever knew behind and against all odds in addiction she has done an 180.

I have known Renee since we were 12, and since that first day of school in 7th grade, our friendship has remained to be a truly unbreakable bond. 15 years later and hundreds of miles between us, we are still best friends and just as close. However, it is entirely unfair to punish this woman permanently for something that she will, and ultimately has, punished herself daily for all on her own by adding the inability to visit her family and friends. I watched Renee through all the transitions in her life from excelling in high school, to getting wrapped up with the wrong crowd, to behind bars, to now behind a cell phone screen through FaceTime. I've witnessed her at her lowest and I've seen her overcome and conquer herself and her addiction and it shows by the total 180 change she has made. She was given a clean slate by Canada and with it, she went above and beyond to support herself with multiple jobs and establishing her career with completing school. On top of those accomplishments she fell in love, got engaged, and became a home owner. Anyone who has dealt with addiction themselves or loved ones that are addicts, know that that stigma follows them everywhere. Renee took that stigma and instead of allowing it to overpower her, she used it to fuel her fire to be an even more exquisite person than she was before the bad decisions were made. But at the end of the day, no matter how hard she tries and how good she feels, her heart is always aching due to being denied visitation to the states. She is completely separated from her parents and siblings and all of the friends that love her, meanwhile, other immigrants are being deported and allowed back in and committing serious crimes. Renee is an outstanding woman, person, and citizen. She was sick and faced with decisions she was unequipped with the proper tools to handle these situations. However, these hard lessons have made her into an even better woman than she was before she got into the drugs. I have always been

Renee deserves this chance. She has turned her life around and should be able to feel the love of being home even if only for a short while. Please grant her this request.

Renee Is a great person who comes from an amazingly generous & loving family. We all make mistakes, and if you take a look at her life since the minor problems she had, you will see she has learned from hers & has grown as a result. -Seth M.

Renne is a very loving person and amazing person to be around. Everyone makes mistakes and even a little stupid when they are young doesn't mean they should suffer for ever
