Terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political gain. It can be either a typical bombing or a school shooting, making it both a domestic and international issue. Terrorism is an issue that we can't simply wish away and it requires immediate action.

In recent years, security measures across the country in schools and other public areas have been rapidly increasing amongst countless domestic terrorist attacks. Attacks such as these put not only youth but also staff in danger. This has caused an atmosphere of fear among students and staff. In order to counteract this, Edgecombe County schools have to improve safety precautions in the case of an incident. We ask that ECPS schools increase their security in the hopes of protecting both youth and staff from future acts of violence.
