Indian Rock has been apart of our community for over 18,000 years!

An immense, three-story high glacial erratic, Indian Rock has sat quietly in a Rocky Point neighborhood on land that belonged to one of the first English settlers on Long Island, Noah Hallock. Legend has it that Rocky Point’s name was inspired by this natural wonder. Formed by the last glacier, Indian Rock is rich in folklore, geological and ecological history.

The Peconic Land Trust is working with the community to preserve this landmark as an educational and natural resource. Please sign this petition today to show your support! To learn more about this important community effort, please visit our website.

You can also make a tax-deductible gift in support of the acquisition of Indian Rock.

To make a gift today to help us reach our goal of $330,000 to protect the historic landmark visit our Paypal page and donate now. Your gift today will help preserve a piece of history and provide a learning environment for geology, botany, and Long Island history.
