I am watching my father in law dwindle before my eyes. I can go to the movies, buy pot and go to a bar but we can't see our loved one.
Absolutely unconscionable.

The idea that a parent may die in isolation is crazy. Certainly there should be sufficient PPE that family members can wear that would allow visitation.

It is unacceptable that outdoor visits are not permitted. A policy of isolation is just as irresponsible and life-threatening as covid-19 when there are protocols for visiting parents at a distance.

There is harm done to mental health when people are in isolation. Of course, this must be balanced with health and safety. I agree with decreasing the number of days is good.

This is just heartbreaking for all involved. Six months into this crisis and we don’t have a reliable testing process to allow for scheduled visitation? How can that be? NY has “the best” testing in the country - is it still not adequate for the essential need of these circumstances, particularly with the enviable data and Covid numbers in NY? Please leverage your hard won success on behalf of these families. Thank you for leading yet again in this situation, Governor Cuomo.
