The request to reduce the waiting period from 28 to 14 days sounds fair... also I believe outdoor visitations with social distancing and masks sounds reasonable as well. I see a possible problem where once the residents are outside, visitors may become complacent and not obey each safety guideline. One slip up by a family member from any family can result in catastrophic consequences for everyone in the facility. If it is done, I hope it’s heavily monitored to prevent any spread of illness. I think visitations should be fine outdoors while following all protocols. I also think visitations should include a member of staff supervising the visits to ensure no one is breaking any rules.

My 92 year old mother is also suffering from depression and loneliness for her 7 children. She was used to seeing at least one of us every day. Now she’s getting used to seeing the resident psychologist. Please help!

It is right to be respectful of the real threat from Corona virus and restrictions are required. However based on the description here I believe they are excessive and prevent basic human interaction for the older person and loved ones. Please amend to allow a fair balance of risk probability versus basic social contact.

It is cruel not letting residents of health care facilities see their loved ones and testing asymptomatic people with long turnaround for results is worthless

outside or inside with a partition there is a safe way to have families visit their loved ones. It is vital to the older folks mental health.

Keeping a safe distance in nice weather or in well ventilated spaces is a great way to protect the mental and emotional health of all involved.

My Mom is in a memory care facility in CT and we are now able to visit her outdoors with masks on. Seeing her eyes light up and her smile being around us means the world. She may not know who we are but there is nothing more therapeutic than physically seeing and speaking with the ones you love. Zoom calls just aren't the same!

Please make this a priority. The weather at this time of year is perfect to allow outside, socially distant compliance that would allow safe visits to loved ones.
