A rabbit is as much a pet as a dog or cat. I had one growing up and there is nothing “exotic” about it. They love and cuddle you while making minimal to no noise whatsoever that could bother anybody in or outside of the home. Birds, which apparently are not considered exotic in this case, are noisy, can’t hardly be loved or cuddled by children but are allowed in this case. I stand with this family who are trying to keep a member of their family.

What harm can a rabbit do compared to a dog or a cat? I would know, I have all three as pets and my rabbit is by far the least harmful one. This is ridiculous!

To consider this animal an exoctic or farm animal is a little extreme. If they had a cow maybe but it's a bunny rabbit who is trained!

Bunnies are harmless, easily trained and use litter boxes. And, they don't bark! Let them keep their bunny.

Rabbits are the least destructive and quietest pets. Please let this family keep their beloved bunny. Charge a pet deposit if you must but don't make them give up a family member.

People are idiots. Let them keep the rabbit. Sounds like the instigator of this notice has nothing better to do that seek out reasons to destroy happiness for others. Pets are family!

A rabbit is in all likelyhood, less destructive than a cat or dog. Have them put a deposit down for the rabbit if it’s that much of an issue.

Having a pet is the greatest opportunity next to having your own child. Please allow these precious children to keep their rabbit.

Educate yourselves on what owning such a pet actually entails rather than holding to your preconceived notions and lack of empathy.

This is ridiculous. Most birds are more exotic than a rabbit plus a lot messier and they're not a farm animal!
