Rabbits are extremely therapeutic and make much less of a mess than any cat or dog. They aren’t exotic or a farm animal.

Please judge the home on a case by case exemption. I have birds and rabbits both and can testify that birds are far more likely to be destructive to base property. Ronald Haley President Hops-a-Lot Rescue

Rabbits are domestic and considered pets in the US. Housing authority here need to educate themselves. Birds and fish are considered exotic.

Rabbits have become pets long ago. This is terrible

A cat can be exotic, as can a bird and fish! That is a ridiculous rule and excuse and they should amend it for this family and future bunnies!

This needs to be changed. Why isn't a bunny allowed. Even back in the 70s and 80s we were allowed to have bunnies in military housing. They knew about them and even treated them at base vet. There is no reason for not allowing them.

This makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Bunnies are quiet, clean and non aggressive and do not disturb anyone. Common sense is dead and if cats, dogs (who bark), birds etc are allowed, please explain why a bunny is not allowed. I really would like to know and understand the reasoning for this. Let the girl keep he loving bunny and move on to other more important business like keeping us safe.

Just because you do not have experience with rabbits does not mean they are bad in any way. Just like any other animal, they can do a ton of damage or none at all, depending on how they're trained. I'd recommend spending a couple hours with the family and rabbit and see for yourself.

Rabbits are a common animal in many homes and are very clean when compared to the cleanliness of cats and dogs. There should be no reason that this family should have to be rid of a rabbit. Do they ban lizards as well?

This is ridiculous! What is the difference between having a rabbit or a cat or dog? NONE! Let the family have their rabbit, it's a pet, like any other!

This is outrageous threatening to evict a family who in fact( protect your jobs and family) to homelessness if they get rid of their loving rabbit. Stop this ridiculous unjustified action now. This is all this family have and love her as much as their own children. Why shouldn't they have a pet when deployed? Who creates these idiotic rules needs a new job. Stop harassing our hard working people and harass the ones who don't care of country and life.

Omg I hope that this petition changes the situation! It’s baddeb that the military keeps making military families move so often! To do this to a family with young children is heartless ! I’ve shared this request for people to sign the petition! I hope you can update us in the future

Rabbits are the 3rd most popular pet in the country! They’re not farm animals. They are gentle, affectionate creatures who become part of the family. Absolutely ridiculous that this is happening!!!!!

Animals are special creatures that nurture us as much as we do them. Let them keep the bunny.
