I usually don't involve myself with these situations as I don't have all the facts. I can't imagine a ministry being so cruel as to separate family members is a good thing, but I'll concede to your facts, and respond to your involvement...Jim

If you ask older children in care...they just want a loving home that is secure and stable...they don't want to be moved...it makes them feel like something is wrong with them...this little one should stay with the people who have loved her and have developed secure bonds...

It is time that power games and politics stopped trumping what is most important and necessary for our children. These tactics only serve to demonstrate the gaps and incompetencies of those who hold our children's futures in their hands.

Please keep this little girl with the only family she knows. To think this won't effect this littte girl negatively for the rest of her life is completely foolish. she needs to be with the only family she has known.

I am signing this because I believe that it would be of lasting benefit for SS to remain in the current loving family environment. To rip the young child out of this secure home could cause irreparable damage. It would be irresponsible not to express serious concerns regarding the Ministry's plans to remove the child.

If you're making a decision based on the best interest of the child then you'll decide to leave her with her family, and not move her to a surrogate family.

This child is adored and so well cared in the home she has been in since birth. She knows only that mother and father and sending her to Ontario to strange parents and her siblings that she has never known will be a trauma that will stay with her for the rest of her life. I IMPLORE you to keep this happy little girl where she is and allow her current family to adopt her legally.

I understand that the MCFD, would be concerned in regards to entities using the Child as a Political tool by attending the event. The interesting thing is that they created this situation in the first place by not recognizing their policies in their own documentation about cultural identity, and the sensitivity around it. Reexamination of this file should be immediate. Underline Immediate.... Other than the cultural significance of this case, The child is already to an age to recognize their caregivers, and would be a emotional travesty to separate a family, and who she recognizes as her Mother and Father at her age.
