This child should stay with the only family she has known from birth and not be uprooted into a totally alien atmosphere.

Does the Ontario family even know that this little girl is happy in her family here? If they are genuinely caring people they should be denying the adoption and insisting the child stay in her present family and they should work with the foster family to make that happen! If they do not do this it appears that the Ontario family may be part of the problem as they are entitled to receive 950.00 tax free per month until the child is an adult...only if they adopt a sibling! Three siblings? Do the math. Ontario family, whoever you are, it's time to step up and do the right thing if you actually care about his little girl and aren't just in it for the money.

This is another absurd decision by MCFD. When will it end?

Some ministry workers need to be replaced! There are too many who do not listen to professionals, lie, and abuse their powers!

A toddler brought up with in a loving family should not be removed to be placed with biological relatives that it does not know.

Please let this little girl stay with her family in BC. They love her and will raise a better child than most people I've ever met.

It would be a crime to rip this little one away from the only mommy and daddy she's ever known, since 10 days old!! It would destroy her and scar her for life. I can't think of anything more traumatic for a child!!

There is a family bond, keep it that way!

The best interest of the child is obviously the goal of these parents. Contact with biological parents established, contact with siblings desired to be established, Metis community ties desired . . . . there is something driving the MCFD to oppose what has been carefully researched to be in the best interest of the child's overall healthy development.

Have we learned nothing from the past? Leave this child with this caring family to grow up close to her family and community. Please.

We must speak and act on behalf of our Metis Children and Families, and for our seniors and elders. It is Our Responsibility to SPEAK for those of our communities who cannot speak for themselves!

MCFD should be ashamed of this abuse of power.
