This young woman deserves a chance to make a new life in Australia. She is being supported by her husband, his family and her community so will not be a drain in our society - to the contrary, she has shown extraordinary commitment to study and pursuing her personal career goals, so will be a valuable asset to our community as a midwife. As a midwife myself, I hope to work with her one day. Please give her that chance. She has shown extraordinary strength of character, gratitude, resilience and perseverance. She is just the kind of citizen we need! Minister Dutton, please reconsider. Arranged marriage is not domestic violence! She faces a bleak future if deported to Iran. This couple has proved themselves to be really in love. Give her, and them, a chance!

How is it you married a high school girl? The legal age of marriage in Queensland is 18. Did you get approval from the Family Court of Australia or a Magistrate? I am a little confused.

I saw an update that mogjan has been freed on a bridging visa - signing to show support for you both and to express the sincere wish that she is now granted a partner visa. Good luck to you both.
