I am appalled at the inhumanity of our Australian Government towards refugees.

This is an appalling and secretive act to deport someone back to a country where they have been in danger when there is no reasonable explanation given for the denial of her application for asylum. She is being detained with no evidence of any criminal or illegal activity. It is not illegal to seek asylum when there is a well-founded fear of danger. I am appalled that the judgement of asylum seekers in this country is so opaque and that the process is not open to rational oversight by any courts. The more I learn about the way the obligations of Australia to the rights of refugees has been separated out of the legal processes of the Immigration Act, the more I am ashamed to be an Australian.

Mojgan is married to an Australian. If she returns to Iran to complete the required paperwork then she won't survive the horror's her family have in store for her.
Release her, let her stay in Australia and lodge her application.

I am supporting this petition because she is not to blame for the sexual abuse and torture committed against her in Iran and she is a happily married woman to a permanent Australian resident.
