It's situations exactly such as your wife's that made me want to study immigration law. No-one should have their life teared out from under them when they're just trying to build a happy, peaceful sustainable future. I hope your lovely wife gets back to you and I hope when I graduate next year I can start helping others in this situation.

This is a disgraceful act by an incompetent minister who must act now to fix the injustice he has created.

This is such a ridiculous situation. She should be home with her family and finishing her studies. Dutton sort this out now and send her home to her family

The silence from our political leaders is symbolic of what they will allow and value - fear mongering, force, misleading the public and incarcerating the helpless. Good people cannot let this continue.

It is time that human rights are being taken more seriously and generosity introduced as part of the Australia fair dinkum attitude.

It would be unconscionable to send this young woman back into such personal danger.

this is beyond outrageous.... if the man is an is an australian permanent resident then his wife should be allowed to living with him as his wife. Shown common respect not goosestept out like she is a criminal and our authorities are the gestapo... I mean really do we want to be likened to that kind of thinking and treatment..... this is just so beyond peoples rights. If this was an australian trying to escape persecution in another country... mmm we would expect compassion and common sense to rule ... please show some to this couple and to all the people like them..
