A heart breaking story. The decision of the minister not to intervene makes no sense. Cruel for cruelty sake.

Australian Story 25 July 2016 brought this tragedy to light for me. Our Immigration Minister should rethink. This young couple will be a positive addition to Australia.

Mojgan's story is one of great heartbreak. To flea a country in search of safety and to be then given a glimpse of freedom and then have it taken away and treated worse then a criminal is just cruel. It makes me ashamed to call myself an Australian

This story is heartbreaking. Mojgan has a husband and in-laws who appear to be more than willing to support her financially until she completes her studies. She has massive community support, and has already shown how motivated she is to contribute to society. Even if you were to ignore the humanitarian aspect, it makes more sense for the Government to collect tax from her rather than continue funding her detention! The very least that the Minister could do is to give a reason why he is refusing to intervene.

I watched this program last night and my believe is that Australia is much better than the response to -date. I ask the Minister The Hon Peter Dutton, to show some compassion to this young couple. The young lady does not deserve to be in the current predicament she finds herself in. I ask The Hon Minister to please grant her Asylum so that she could join her husband.

It is a sad indictment on the Minister for lacking the basic moral and political will to intervene and to hide behind a technical shortcoming in the legislation to mask his failure to demonstrate some basic human decency.

Please, please help Mojgan to resume her life with her husband. Her treatment has been so unfair. God Bless ❤

The treatment of this innocent young woman is inhuman. I am ashamed that Australia is doing this as official policy. This is not the country I thought it was.

I learnt of Majgan's plight after watching Australian Story. She does not deserve to be treated this way and should be reunited with her husband and community.

What kind of society have we become where we allow this to happen?

Mojgan Shamsalipoor is a brave young woman, married to an Australian citizen. She has committed no crime and deserves the chance to reach her full potential. DON'T DETAIN HER IN MY NAME, DUTTON~!

Please show some good human sense and return Mojgan Shamsalipoor to the community and free her from detention It makes no sense to keep her locked up - a waste of a young life money and a shame to all Australians

There is something fundamentally wrong in the minds of our politicians and there is something fundamentally broken in the immigration system/ legislation they have put in place if they can not assess this case on compassionate grounds. The minister should be doing everything possible to gain Mojgan's release from detention.
