We live in a progressively more connected world. Falling in love across borders is neither unlikely nor so unexpected that there should be no policy in place to streamline and facilitate it. What has been done here is simply wrong, and needs immediate remediation.

No-one gets to send an wife (or husband) away. Hands off. All the officials involved in this should be ashamed of themselves. Once the marriage is in - let her stay. Nothing in Immigration law should interfere with family life.

As a Minister of a Church I am disgusted the way we treat asylum seekers. Are we really less than human. Please, show some mercy.
