Please release this beautiful kind woman. I really hope we as Australians never have to flee our country as no one will take us because of how our government has behaved.

Shameful and despicable treatment of a young person with so much to offer our country.

I thought the Australia government's job was to protect us from murderers, thieves, assassins, not young women who will only be a benefit to Australia. What sort of people lock someone up who has done no wrong and who only wants to live a happy life with her husband. I, for my part, object to what the government is doing and demand that this young lady be released from detention and set free to stay in Australia.

what do we fear from This? Setting precedent of encouraging self supporting asylum seekers? Up til now the threatens been couched as terrorists and cost. Seems this would contribute morale and money. Haven't we run out of arguments

I hope the government can look at this case in its entirety and use common sense to release this young lady.

These are exactly the people Australia needs. Young, vibrant, loving, wanting to learn and contribute to their new country. There is no need for this young woman to be in Detention, let her return to her husband while her residency gets sorted.

She is married to an Australian citizen - she is a beautiful person who will be a contributing member of society. This makes no sense. Free her from detention so she can apply for a spousal visa!

Yet another example of Australia's cruelty to asylum seekers. Australia is in breach of UN conventions it signed years back. Australia's actions are illegal and inhumane. Peter Dutton, a police officer for nine years, obviously knows this.
