I can only apologise for the extremist actions of this callous criminal government and trust that this term will serve as a lesson to Australia's good people to not take the goodwill of those that would rule in their name for granted. My deepest empathy to Milad and Mojgan at this most difficult time

What the Abbott government is doing to this couple should be a crime.

This is heartbreaking. I am ashamed to call myself an Australian.

This is just one more crazy stunt our government is using to get rid of asylum seekers!

This is ridiculous and should be resolved asap. Let her stay with her husband, while her application is assessed. How come I wasn't stuck in detention, after I applied for residency and she is?

This outrageous injustice must be stopped. No-one should be treated like this, especially a vulnerable school girl. Another example of violence against women.

The govt is shaming me as an Australian for its treatment of asylum seekers. We must speak out

The detention of this woman seems inhumane & is costing a lot of tax payers money for no good reason. Please release her.

For the sake of humanity, let this person join her husband and complete her studies. She will be a wonderful new Australian citizen.

There's no excuse for this kind of cruelty and unnecessary detention

I feel shame in the lack of compassion the leaders of Australia display with their rigid stand on people in need of a safe and secure place to heal.

Stop this abomination now. Where are your morals. Release Milar Jafri's wife immediately. You have no human decency. You are turning our country into a corporate dictatorship rather than democracy.
