This whole system is demeaning, demoralising, inefficient and just saddening. Something has to change. I thought we were meant to be advancing Australia "fair"? Well this isn't fair, in either sense of the word.

I am deeply ashamed of the inhumane thinking and actions of our government. It's time we Australians reclaimed our decency. Refugees and immigrants have contributed enormously to our country. We mustn't allow fear driven politicians from major parties and journalists like sharks in a feeding frenzy make us paranoid of these people who are in dire need. Release this young woman and enable those genuinely seeking refuge to live here.
