This oppression must stop. The greatest majority of our illegal immigrants are Europeans who have overstayed their visa and continue to work. Why aren't THEY rounded up, imprisoned and deported?!

Disgraceful right-wing ideological federal government. Good luck.

Dear Australians, when you came to your country nobody put you in detention centre. You got your land basically for free. Australia is a great country but how you treat immigrants now is NOT RIGHT. Have some decency and heart...and make the right decision in this particular case at least.

This is heartbreaking. Let them be together. No one deserves to go through this, no one ever asks for this. He's already willing to help her acquire a spouse visa through existing immigration systems. That said, mandatory detention is cruel and unjust and this case is just one of many sordid tragedies. End mandatory detention for all.

There are too many of these stories of wasted lives. Fighting for the right to education and to live with who you love sounds like the Dark Ages, not the 21st century!

This is neither just or sane. The Australian government needs to look long and hard at their stance on asylum seekers. Let this girl go and allow her to stay in Australia with her husband. She may be a future prime minister!

Please allow Mojgan to stay here, she could face death if she is forced to return.

The actions of immigration are nothing but cruel and soul destroying. There is no reason to separate Mojgan and Milad. They are a peace loving couple with a bright future ahead of them but this government is determined to destroy them; their hope, love and dreams for a better life. Utterly shameful. It is not an option for Mojgan to return to Iran. When there are no options left in life what do we do? Immigration answer this question please.
