Mephiles is the 1 who turned Saint the Hedgehog to pure evil. Saint the Hedgehog and Paul the Hedgehog were once best friends for life, but Mephiles had to come another way between them. He knew Saint's weakness was his need to be the best on the block, and that Paul was the 1 who stood in his way. But Mephiles reminded him, of his destiny, to be the greatest supersonic hedgehog ever. But that destiny could only be found on the darker side.
