Hello everyone. As some of you may, and others may not know, recently, Ashley and I split up after nearly four years of being together. Now that may not seem like a long time, but in that time, I have grown from a boy to a man and she has been there for me and with me through it all. Due to ignorance, immaturity, infidelity, and incompetence on my behalf, I drove her away and that was the worst mistake I have ever made in my life. Ashley not only is my best friend but she is the one person that has kept me on the right track regardless of the situation. I took her for granted while we were together but it was not because I didn't love her or care or want her in my life, it was simply due to the fact that I was a stupid little boy. I had the age of a man but the mindset of a child and that became cancerous to our relationship. During the time we have been apart, I have learned and grown from my mistakes and I know that I am ready to be the man that I can be. One thing I know about love is that you only get a crack at it so many times, and when you find that special someone, you have to do whatever it takes to make things right, and that includes never giving up. She is a good woman and she deserves the best, and I want to be the one who treats her like the queen that she is. My family loves her, my friends love her, and I love her as well. She holds a special place in my heart and I would hate for a void to be created. Words only mean so much so I am determined to SHOW her that I am serious this time.
