IXL does not help students learn. It only causes frustration and helplessness while doing a lesson. With some subjects that you struggle with, IXL makes it even harder to understand. It can take up to hours just to finish one lesson. And in 6th grade lessons where it teaches geography, answers MUST be specific in order to be correct. That causes stress and lack of self-esteem in kids because all they want is free time. The worst part? It takes away points when you get a question wrong which can cause students to get discouraged in themselves. Especially in the "Challenge Zone" where it takes away 8 points for one wrong question. My point? IXL does not help students improve their studies. Children should be learning from their teacher(s) in order to understand a topic, not from an app.

IXL is a waste of time we could be using to do homework, my lessons are either way too easy or way too hard, and honestly it's not a good program.
IXL is a horrible app for kids. It stresses them out and is a huge waste of time. No child should be spending 3 hours on one lesson,

IXL is taking away student individuality. It teaches students that learning doesn't matter and all that matters is the number on your screen. It wants you to think a certain way. It is evil DOWN WITH IXL!

It takes me roughly 30 minutes to finish a single lesson and my teacher assigned three this weekend, ISN'T THE WEEKEND SUPPOSED TO GIVE STUDENTS A BREAK FROM WORK!?!?
