Help Make Recreation a Priority in Jackson Demonstration State Forest

These trails are incredible and have drawn me to visit Mendocino for many years. Public lands are a public resource, and the outdoors are more important than ever.

Please save our outdoor recreational areas and keep them beautiful.

Keep trails open for mountain biking!

We have taken a church group of young men on the trails multiple times. Those experiences have helped ground them, teaching them that they can do hard things. Please preserve the opportunity to continue this tradition?

The trail network in the area is one of Mendocino's jewels, bringing both locals and tourists greatly improving quality of life and economic well being in the area. Please be careful with the logging, as currently proposed it would be an net negative economic impact and destroy one of the treasures of the area.

These lands, if looking at them strictly in an economic sense, have more value unlogged in perpetuity that ecotourism brings to local economies.

It makes sense to protect trails and elevate rec uses here as with other public land.

Logging should be done in a manner that doesn't adversely affect trails. The space taken up by trails is so small compared to the overall area of the forest—surely it would be simple to leave trails unaffected while still harvesting sufficient timber.

Definitely want to see trails preserved in Jackson forest

Love riding in JDSF, to lose those trails would mean I'd stop visiting the region. I've considered moving up to the area as well, but if the riding wasn't there, it would be a deal breaker.

Please elevate recreation economy to its rightful place among the uses of this forest.

one of the premier mountain biking trail systems in northern ca. deserves to be recognized as such. given we've lost boggs all the more reason to preserve the trails here.
