I have been in the forest products industry for almost 40 years. Logging, saw mill, wholesale, retail, and construction. I truly understand the land use balance, I also am fully cognizant of the historical overuse and exploitation of this resource. I urge Cal Fire and JSDF to reconsider the current THP with a buffer on the current well established trail network that will give long term economic benefits as opposed to a cut with low yield that will require another 30+ years to replace. Thank you, Blake Ridgway

Too many forest have been cut down in Northern California. We need to keep our forests from being cut. We don’t need the money. We need the forests!

Timber is important, but being able to get out into nature and breath and live is important also. Please these human needs into your policy decisions.

Don't put short term gains over the long term health and beauty of the environment. There are so many benefits to so many people by keeping the forests robust and healthy. The tourism impact alone would be huge.

Mountain Biking is a way to escape seclusion. This recreation area is intrinsic to that escape.

I've traveled to the area for organized cycling events in the past, and am planning a road trip to enjoy the trails when the Covid 19 restrictions have been lifted. Please preserve the trails of the forest!

We have traveled specifically to the Mendocino area multiple times each year for over a decade - just to recreate in Jackson Demonstration and the Mendocino Woodlands. The proposed timber harvest threatens the very thing that brings us (and our tourism dollars) back - the unparalleled trail system in Jackson Demo. Please preserve this one of a kind natural resource for this generation and generations to come.

The forest has higher uses than just being turned into fencing and decks. All values should be considered not just economic ones.

I spend a great deal of time in Jackson Demonstration and in the Mendocino Woodlands. This upcoming timber harvest is completely unacceptable. Because recreation brings so much revenue to the area, it needs to be encouraged, not just tolerated.

Timber harvest is an important use of our public lands but it needs to be considered within the context of all user groups. I urge land managers to mandate and employ equal consideration of recreational uses of these public lands.

This forest is an irreplaceable ecosystem that must survive. It is a recreational goldmine for the Mendocino coastal area, drawing thousands of visitors , boosting the economy of the entire area much more than any income from logging.
