The recent outbreak of shootings in North America have been sad to hear about and learn about. So far in 2016 there has been over 20,000 gun related incidents in the United States Of America, (January, 1st, 2016-June, 21st, 2016)

I am from Canada and we have strict gun laws involving but not limited to the maximum amount of cartridges in a clip (10 Cartridges), fully automatic guns (prohibited in Canada). The recent shootings in the US have prompted me to want to start this petition to help prompt the United States Congress to Better enforce there gun laws and realize that not all shootings are made by legal firearms putting more background checks in will not reduce shootings but make illegal purchasing of firearms and ammunition more common. They should support people to have firearms, I still support the background checks don't get me wrong I'm all for them but they shouldn't go to the point to ban certain firearms. They should recommend gun owners to go to family gun safety classes and keep people safer they should lower the amount of certain guns people can have, For example if you own a semi-automatic rifle you should be aloud no more then 2 per license or if you will household .

Hope you understand my point of view, let's make the enforce curent las before new ones.
