I am not sure why this is such an obstacle for this school. Many schools now have what is called "sparkle effects." These students DO NOT have to be "judged" but do go through all the same motions as the rest of the candidates. However, due to their circumstances they are automatically placed on the team as a sparkle effect. They wear the same uniform as the rest of the team and participate to the maximum extent their abilities and facilities and resources allow. I would encourage you to share the following links with your district administration. Furthemore, I would be happy to write your administration directly as an advocate to encourage them to familiarize themselves with this national program and to allow your child to participate. Maddie is an amazing cheerleader, and she absolutely deserves to be able to cheer for her school. School teams will always kill to get their hands on allstar cheerleaders, it should be the same for Maddie! Don't let all her talent go to waste!!

ABSOLUTELY this should not be an issue!! The girls at OAK HILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL in Cincinnati, Ohio receive videos of the dance and try out cheers WEEKS prior!! You go girl!! Rock your try out!! XO from Cincinnati!!
