I've been following Maddie on Instagram since I started cheer 4 years ago and she's truly such an inspiration! It's so disappointing to hear about this situation. I hope all is made right soon. Everyone deserves to cheer! Best of luck ❤❤❤

I coach a special needs cheer team and I feel everyone should be given a fair chance at doing and participating in the sport they love.

We have two cheerleaders with Down Syndrome on our cheer team and we absolutely love them! They cheer with us at games and wear a cheer uniform and whenever there are any cancer/special athlete fundraisers, our entire team including the two girls with Down Syndrome go and we support each other. It doesn't take much to make them happy!

Anyone should get the chance to cheer though their middle school and high school years! They only get this time once and once it's gone it's gone! I've been doing all star cheer for 11 years and I love it so very much and I also do high school cheer! And I know my school in Iowa city would let anyone join the team no matter what the disability may be! Let everyone get a chance because once it's over it's over you don't get that time back! Everyone is the same!!

Anyone that has as much passion for a sport as Madison does deserves to be included, regardless of their skill level or abilities.

I believe Maddie should have a fair chance to make her middle school cheer team. Every little girl deserves to have every wish and dream come true.

Cheer has been my whole life for as long as I can remember, and has helped me over come huge challenges in my life. These challenges include my mother becoming disabled when I was 5, I watched her in and out of hospitals from the time I was 5 until I was nearly 9 years old, and cheer was the only thing that kept me going and put a smile on my face. There simply isn't words to describe how much I love Cheer and what it has done for me. I've known cheerleading for more than half my life, and it is my passion. I was raised in cheer and could not imagine my life without it. With that being said denying a person who shares the same passion as I do for the sport I love is unfair. I don't know what I'd do without cheerleading, and I firmly believe every child no matter what challenges they face should be given the fair and equal opprotunity to do what they love no matter the cost.
