Unbelievable. It needs a response to the council stating they have been victimised regarding their Christmas decorations and also state that any household with outside decorations should be treated the same. from my understanding there is no planning application available for Christmas lighting.

How petty and pathetic can you be?! So let me get this straight, you need planning permission to put Christmas decorations up at Christmas, right??

It doesn't harm anyone and its for a good cause!! Christmas wouldn't be the same without the trip to see the lights!!

We need all the Christmas Spirit we can get. Good on them for trying to simply do their best for their daughter.

Humbug NPT Council! Reckon they are jealous because they have a better display at home and not in the street and Civic Centre of Port Talbot!

Over the years I have driven my child and now my grand-daughter to look at the 'pretty lights' in and around Port Talbot during the Christmas period. I am in total dismay how a someone can complain about the amazing display that is done on this person's own property for the enjoyment of his children and the children of the surrounding area. Any money kindly donated is being raised to help his daughter, the family pay for the decorations and the electricity. Bah Humbug on the sad, jealous person who reported this beautiful Christmas scene!! Karma will repay this injustice.

Why do you need planning permission to put bloody Xmas decs up. Because the council can't be bothered with our towns lights & decs, picking on this lovely man & his love for his daughter. Makes me sick.

It's a talking point of the village. Everyone looks forward to seeing their display, Santa disappearing in the window when he sees you watching him is priceless. Helped my children believe a bit more at the time when they were starting to question if he's real. Please keep the lights going.

If people have a heart they will sign this petition! This is ridiculous! They should be aloud to do what they want considering it's their own garden!!

I think it's disgusting telling them they can't put them up in the future. I visit this house every year. Such a good job with all the holograms and lights. Keep it up its for a dam good cause
