This is a long time coming and for anyone who is not realizing the opportunities missed by being blind to the benefits and the broad reach this product can provide young & old - take some time to listen, to read, to see the effects; the quality of life it can bring. Safe & Quality products is what we need not individuals that are afraid to embrace change. Allow the dispensary to have a business licence; and let them get on with helping those in the community. By holding back you put everyone between a rock & a hard place; no one wins. Patients dont get safe product, communities dont get their fair share of taxes and the employees job security is in jeopardy. TIME FOR CHANGE

I urge you to look at statistics in Colorado and other places where medical cannabis has been legalized. Crime rates actually go down, jobs are created, money is put into the community. And that's just from am economic stand point. The real situation here is the medicine, it's effective, and it's safe, our communities deserve safe access to it.

I used to burn right past chemainus on my way up island, but now I have a reason to stop and spend money in town! Usually get a coffee or a snack as well for the road. Keep your economy growing with new businesses, don't shut the doors.

When it comes to ethical or moral decisions I believe elected officials should make decisions based on what the community wants and not what the own beliefs
