We have the same issue just around the corner in Oakley green, why are we all being persecuted for trying to build a community in a COMMUNAL garden ? Why should our children be deprived of enjoyment in a SAFE environment?

I think it is horrible that the council are asking for this to be removed. I appreciate this is probably a health and safety concern, but provided everybody is aware that equipment is under your own risk - what's the issue? If the locals are all looking after the area and is creating a community spirit, what sort of a message does this send to the youngsters who use this area? Especially as the council hadn't been carrying for it?!

This space is a valuable area whete families come together.
It teaches social skills, sharing and so much else. Please dont take this wonderful area and all it provides away.

There is no reason these people shouldn't be allowed this equipment in the communal gardens, it's paid for an maintained privately by the residents. People are just trying to enrich the lives of their children, doesn't the council have better concerns to be dealing with rather than wasting my council tax money by harassing other hard working folk.

Outdoor play areas an important part of community life and should be available to all children within a reasonable distance from their homes.

The Council’s stance of ‘threat of removal’ is non senceical in the absence of them wanting to find ‘other’ solutions to issues.

There is no need to remove them the kids enjoy them if the council wanted to be sensible they could get the residents to sign a disclaimer stating that the items in the garden are of no connection to the council and any injuries will not be down to the council and then maybe they could take out a little public liability policy between them which would probably be about 2 quid each a month and bobs your uncle happy kids/parents and happy council
