Not acceptable. The congestion on that corner is insane now with 8 lanes converging and entrances to the Y and the Cinema Arts Centre. WE already have walk in medical complexes in three directions, each about a mile apart. This is irresponsible use of the property and detracts from our "Small Town" image.

Park ave and 25a is a nightmare with traffic already. This is not needed there you have plenty more spots for it in the town of huntington . I bet they will add more lights too like park ave isint a nightmare with the new light at kleet lumber already. Lets make more traffic

Preserve history and green space. Don't destroy it for corporate and political greed. Don't let Huntington be just another urine splashed concrete jungle.

I very strongly agree that this area needs to be protected from any further development. Especially in light of the fact that our Forefathers have already claimed and named the sight to be Historic in nature. With all due respect, they need to find a new site for the medical building. J.P.Freeman

There is no logical reason to erect a new building on that corner. Town is crowded enough.
I think a logical solution would be to reconfigure some of the unused buildings in the area for such a site. Why not a new medical center where that abandoned organic market was- just up the street? Its time to reuse, repurpose, and reconstruct unused buildings. Not constantly build new.
Doctors offices, doc in a box centers, etc, are becoming like the bank situation in Town.

I'd be ok with a historic replica building being built to honor the history of the site, yet running a modern business out of it

Is there anything in this town that is sacred? Next you'll want to put a Subway on the Commons. Stop looking at the revenue!

As a life time resident of Huntington this area of town is one of my favorites. From the historic qualities to the festivals that take place it add character to the community, and any major development there would decrease that.

The one thing I repeatedly tell people who live in other places, is what an amazing town Huntington is, largely due to the history. There is no need for another medical complex. We have a brand new medical facility on Main St. in addition to various offices within 5 minutes driving distance from there. The traffic at that intersection is terrible as it is, adding an excuse for more is absurd. Clearly, whomever thought this idea up has not tried driving on 25A from 4-7 pm.

Huntington doesn't need another medical complex, especially on the corner of 25A and Park Avenue.
Hope our petition works!
